Core Pantry LLC ("Core Pantry," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and retain personal information when you use corepantry.com and the Core Pantry service.
Core Pantry LLC is a Pennsylvania limited liability company. Core Pantry is currently intended for adults age 18 or older in the United States.

1. Information we collect
Account information
- Email address, display name, account identifiers, and authentication/session information
- Language and settings
- Legal acceptance records
Kitchen and household information
- Inventory foods, quantities, dates, storage locations, values, notes, and food-use history
- Shopping Lists, purchase history, grocery stores, and Personal Recipe Book content
- Household and cooking preferences, dietary restrictions, allergies, dislikes, goals, and related personalization
Billing information
- Plus plan and subscription status
- Stripe customer/subscription identifiers and billing-period and cancellation information
Stripe processes payment-card credentials. Core Pantry does not store full payment-card numbers or CVV information.
Automated-feature information
- Selected Inventory and personalization information and free-form requests used for AI Kitchen
- Temporary receipt images or PDFs and structured receipt and purchase information used for Receipt Scan
- Barcode values used for product lookup
Technical and support information
- IP address and browser/device information received through normal web requests
- Authentication/security events, server/application logs, and feedback or support communications
2. Sensitive or private information
Some information you voluntarily provide may be sensitive, including dietary restrictions, allergy-related information, household information, and receipt source material. We use dietary and allergy-related information to provide requested kitchen-management and personalization functionality. We do not intentionally use dietary or allergy information for advertising personalization.
3. How we use information
- Provide and secure accounts, Inventory, Use First, Shopping, and Recipe Book
- Personalize Core Pantry and provide Barcode Scanner, Receipt Scan, AI Kitchen, and Meal Planner
- Maintain purchase history and household insights; administer Free and Plus limits; and process subscriptions
- Provide support and privacy-request handling, detect fraud or security issues, troubleshoot and improve the Service, and comply with law
- Provide or measure advertising on appropriate public pages
4. AI and receipt processing
AI Kitchen uses OpenAI. Information sent may include selected Inventory data, household/cooking preferences, dietary restrictions, allergy-related information, dislikes, and requests you enter. Core Pantry does not intentionally include your account email or display name in an AI Kitchen prompt.
Receipt Scan also uses OpenAI. The original receipt image or PDF may be sent to OpenAI so purchase information can be extracted. Receipt extraction is designed to avoid retaining unnecessary payment, loyalty, contact, and transaction-account identifiers in the structured result. Users review extracted results before confirmation.
Original receipt source files are temporary. Core Pantry generally attempts to delete them after cancellation, successful confirmation, or automatic expiry. Abandoned receipt sources are ordinarily eligible for cleanup approximately 24 hours after creation.
5. How we disclose information
Core Pantry uses service providers to operate the Service:
- Supabase — authentication, database, and private file storage
- Vercel — web hosting and server execution
- Stripe — Plus payment and subscription processing
- OpenAI — AI Kitchen and Receipt Scan processing
- Google — AdSense advertising technologies on selected public pages
- Open Food Facts — product information for certain barcode lookups
We may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users or Core Pantry, investigate fraud or security issues, enforce agreements, or complete a business transaction such as a merger or acquisition.
6. Advertising, cookies, and similar technologies
Core Pantry uses essential authentication technologies needed to keep accounts signed in and secure. Limited browser storage may be used for preferences and temporary interface state.
With a visitor's choice, Core Pantry may use first-party analytics to measure how people find public acquisition pages, which landing pages lead to signups, and how campaigns perform. This measurement may include campaign tags, referrer hostname, and coarse browser, operating-system, and device categories. It does not include pantry contents, recipes, Shopping Lists, Support messages, or raw browsing history across other websites. Visitors can change this analytics preference through Cookie & Ad Choices.
Core Pantry may use Google AdSense on selected public pages. Google and third parties may place or read cookies or use web beacons, IP addresses, browser identifiers, or device identifiers for ad serving, measurement, fraud prevention and, where legally permitted, advertising personalization.
Core Pantry does not intentionally provide private Inventory, Personal Recipe Book, Shopping List, receipt-source, dietary/allergy, or account-email data to Google for advertising targeting. Core Pantry does not sell personal information for money. Depending on applicable law, advertising-related disclosures may be considered "sharing" or targeted advertising. 7. Retention
Account and user-created information generally remains while your account is active or until it is deleted. Original receipt source files are temporary as described above. We may retain limited billing, accounting, security, fraud-prevention, support, or legal records as reasonably necessary for legitimate business or legal purposes.
Service providers may separately retain information according to their own legal obligations and retention practices. Residual information may remain temporarily in logs, backups, or disaster-recovery systems until those systems rotate.
8. Account deletion
Core Pantry provides an authenticated permanent account-deletion workflow. Permanent deletion ends account access immediately, stops future Stripe-backed Plus billing before account destruction, removes private receipt source files, deletes private account-owned Core Pantry data, and deletes the authentication account last.
Limited billing, security, support, or legal records may be retained or de-identified where reasonably necessary. See the Account Deletion page for details.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or certain advertising/privacy opt-outs. Core Pantry does not sell personal information for money. Submit privacy requests to support@corepantry.com. We may verify your identity before fulfilling a request. Where applicable law permits authorized-agent requests or appeals, contact the same email and clearly identify the request.
10. Security
Core Pantry uses safeguards designed to protect personal information, including authenticated access, server-side authorization, user-scoped database access, Row Level Security where applicable, private receipt storage, payment-provider protections, and enhanced controls for privileged owner access. No online system can guarantee absolute security.
11. Children
Core Pantry is intended only for persons age 18 or older. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we may suspend or delete it.
12. U.S. service / international visitors
Core Pantry is currently intended for users in the United States. The public website may still be accessible elsewhere. Service providers may process information in the United States or other locations where they operate.
13. Changes and contact
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service or legal requirements change. Material changes may be communicated through the Service, email, or another appropriate method.
